On December 16, 2013, Chinese Government’s Special Representative on African Affairs, Ambassador Zhong Jianhua attended the seventh Meeting of the Implementation Follow-up Commission (IFC) of the Doha Document for Peace in Al-Fashir, capital city of North Darfur, Sudan.

During the meeting Ambassador Zhong said that Darfur issue is complex, so all parties should treat every progress made in the Darfur region with an encouraging attitude. China would like to work with the United Nations-African Union Mission in Darfur（UNAMID）and the international community to continue to make due contributions to the peace and stability of the Darfur region.
