On December 17, 2013, Special Representative for the Government of China on African Affairs Zhong Jianhua visited Sudan, and met with Sudanese Minister of Foreign Affairs Ali Ahmed Karti as well as Minister of Petroleum Mohamed Awad Makawi respectively, exchanging views on such issues as China-Sudan relations and the current situation in Sudan and South Sudan. Chinese Ambassador to Sudan Luo Xiaoguang and others attended the meeting.
