On January 27, 2014, Vice Foreign Minister Zhang Ming and Deputy Undersecretary of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Turkey Enho co-chaired the China-Turkey Consultation on Middle East Affairs in Beijing. Both sides had an in-depth exchange of views on the situation in the Middle East region and the situations of Syria, the Iranian nuclear issue, Iraq, Palestine-Israel, Egypt and the Maghreb region as well as other hotspot issues.
