On February 24, 2014, Assistant Foreign Minister Qian Hongshan attended upon invitation the reception marking the 53rd anniversary of the National Day and 23rd anniversary of the Liberation held by Kuwaiti Ambassador to China Mohammed S. Al-Thuwaikh. Both sides positively evaluated the tremendous achievements made by China-Kuwait relations in recent years, and expressed their willingness to further enhance practical cooperation in all fields and to jointly push forward the collective cooperation between China and Kuwait, the Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) as well as the Arab countries to a higher level.
