On February 19, 2014, Vice Foreign Minister Wang Chao met with British Ambassador to China James Sebastian Wood. Wang Chao said that China attaches importance to China-UK relations and hopes that the two sides well implement the consensus reached by the state leaders of the two countries, deepen bilateral mutual trust and cooperation, advance the bilateral relations to a new stage, and strengthen cooperation at international and regional levels. Wood said that the British side is willing to work with China to build a partnership to promote growth and reforms, to grasp the opportunities of China comprehensively deepening reform, and expand two-way trade and investment, as well as exchanges in various fields between the two countries.
