It is the obligatory responsibility of the international community to help and support Palestine for its economic construction and social development. It is also the way of must to realize the lasting peace between Palestine and Israel. The Chinese side has always provided help within its ability for the Palestinian people. In the future, China will continue the support for Palestine to enhance endogenous economic dynamism, to improve social and livelihood environment, and tocreate more favorable conditions for realizing Palestine-Israel peace. Ambassador Wu pointed out that, Palestine-Israel peace talks now enters into a quite complicated and delicate phase, within which opportunities and challenges co-exist. Under this circumstance, both sides of Palestine and Israel, especially Israel, should seize the opportunities, eliminate obstacles and meet each other half way, so as to create a favorable atmosphere for the promotion of peace talks. The international community should also promote peace and facilitate talks in a fair and balanced way, and push forward Palestine-Israel peace talks to achieve substantial progress at an early date.

Ambassador Wu stressed that, the Chinese side has always unswervingly supported the Palestinian people's just cause and the Middle East peace process. Since last year, China has made new contributions to promoting Palestine-Israel peace talks by taking actions of simultaneously hosting the visits of Palestinian and Israeli leader, raising a four-point proposal for the settlement of the Palestinian issue, hosting the United Nations International Meeting in Support of Israeli-Palestinian Peace and paying visits to Palestine and Israel by Foreign Minister Wang Yi. In the future, China will continue to actively promote peace and facilitate talks in its own way and make unremitting efforts to comprehensively and impartially solve the Palestinian issue at an early date.
